TAROT
Tarot is a tool for empowerment.
It allows you to see where you are weak and make improvements. It helps you to know what you are blind to and become enlightened. Tarot urges you to focus on the present above everything else. The future is contained in the energy of the present. Your actions and thoughts will determine the outcome. You are always master of your own destiny.
Tarot and Decision Making
Tarot can help us make decisions that will aid us on our journey through life. The reality in life is invariably less than the potential. Many people agonize over every decision, no matter how great or how small, because they cannot accept that once they take an action in one direction, they have lost the chance to go in all the other directions that were previously open to them. They find it difficult to accept the limitations of acting in the real world. Tarot can help with this.
For your Tarot reading...
-
To get a clear answer you need a clear question to ask. Vague questions will elicit vague answers.
-
Sometimes a Tarot reading may reveal something we don’t want to hear. Although the truth can be quite harsh, the reading brings truth from our inner voice and illuminates the soul’s purpose.
-
When you seek, do not seek only that which you can accept or believe.
-
Tarot is a mirror that reflects both our conscious and unconscious back to us. This information can be used to make conscious choices and to act accordingly.
-
‘Good’ cannot exist without ‘bad’. They are both part of the circle of life and can often be so intertwined that what seems bad can turn out to be for the better.
-
The outcome projected in a reading is based on the energies and influences of the present. We can embrace or change them as we wish. The outcome is not necessarily a certainty, but a possibility.
-
Tarot is a symbolic tool that can help us become aware of misleading, arbitrary beliefs.
-
No problem is solved with the same consciousness that created it. Tarot will help you look at situations differently.
-
Remember that comfort zones are where dreams go to die.
Some information about Tarot...
“Tarot for Insight, Not Prediction.”
“Unlock the wisdom of your unconscious mind to gain clarity, direction, and insight into life’s most challenging questions.”
So what is Tarot?
Many of life's problems don’t come from lack of intelligence — they come from hidden inner conflicts.
Psychologist Carl Jung believed that our unconscious mind holds the key to resolving these issues. When we bring unconscious patterns into awareness, we gain clarity, freedom, and direction.
My Tarot readings are designed as a guided conversation with your deeper self.
Rather than predicting the future, I use Tarot symbolism to help uncover the thoughts, feelings, and patterns influencing your situation.
Your unconscious mind already knows the answer, and what feels like fate may actually be unconscious patterns. Tarot symbolism helps bring hidden insights to the surface.
What kind of questions might I ask?
Clients often come with questions such as:
• “Why do I keep repeating the same relationship pattern?”
• “What’s really holding me back?”
• “Which direction feels right for me?”
• “What am I not seeing?”
Through a Jungian approach to Tarot, we explore these questions together — allowing your own unconscious wisdom to emerge and guide you forward.
“Until we make the unconscious conscious, it will rule our lives and we will call it fate.” – Carl Jung.
What will my Tarot reading do or not do?
I am not:
- predicting the future because the future is not yet written, and its potential resides in the present.
- facilitating insight.
- using symbolic psychology
- helping clients access inner wisdom.

How does it relate to Carl Jung and his philosophies?
Psychologists like Carl Jung believed that the unconscious doesn’t communicate in logical sentences — it communicates through symbols, and a symbol is something that stands for more than its literal meaning.
In Jungian psychology, symbols help bring unconscious feelings and patterns into awareness. When you reflect on a symbol, you often recognize something about your situation that you hadn’t consciously seen before.
Tarot cards work psychologically because:
- Each card contains symbolic imagery
- These symbols trigger personal associations
- Your mind connects them to your life situation
- Insight emerges naturally
So, how does Tarot symbolism work?
Symbols are images that express deeper meanings from the unconscious mind. When we reflect on symbolic imagery, hidden thoughts, feelings, and patterns often come into awareness.
This Jungian approach allows Tarot to act as a mirror - helping you understand your situation more clearly and discover insights that already exist within you.
Can you tell me more about you?
A little bit about me: I am a retired school principal and a published author.
I am member of the Jungian Society and have been reading Tarot cards based upon his psychology for over twenty years.
